Pediatrician
A pediatrician is a doctor who focuses on the health of infants, children, adolescents, and young adults. They manage the physical, mental, and behavioral care for kids under 18.

My Career
Pediatrician
To begin, I plan to be a Pediatrician and open my own non-profit Pediatric centers across the world to aid kids in need. I would like to provide them with cheap to free health care and in order to do that I need a career plan. After I graduate from Saint Petersburg Collegiate High School with my Associates Degree, I plan to go to the University of South Florida to further my education. I will attempt to obtain my Bachelor’s and Master’s in either Biology and/or Chemistry, which would allow me one step closer to becoming a Pediatrician. I would then have to take on some internships and training and then I’ll truly be able to start. I want to build my first Pediatric center somewhere in Florida, hopefully Tampa. My second Pediatric center will be placed somewhere in Ghana, maybe Kumasi. Then somewhere in Asia, and so on. This is definitely a difficult career and an extremely hard plan however, I want to try and give unfortunate children the chance I am so grateful to have.
I always knew that I wanted to go into the nursing field, but I was always unsure on what I wanted to choose my career in. Becoming a Pediatrician was something that only came up about two years ago and when I conducted research on it I found out that it was the perfect match for me. I’ve always wanted to help people, so being able to help kids (the next generation) is just perfect for me. The classes required to pursue this career would be Biology and Chemistry. I’ll also have to major in either Nursing or Biology. Which I would preferably take at either USF, UF, or FAMU. I’m required to attend graduate school and have at least nine years of schooling before becoming a Pediatrician. I’m also required to have an internship of at least a year as well as pass a certification test. My starting rate as a Pediatrician would be around $139,000 annually ($85.5 an hour), while my growing potential is $177,130 annually.
My Top 3 Colleges
These three colleges have my overall satisfaction with their vibes, finances, and education. They each have really good medical programs as well which is the main thing I’m looking for.

University of Florida
Average GPA - 4.42
Average SAT - 1275
Average ACT - 87
Acceptance Rate - 31.1%
The University of Florida is my second pick as it has one of the best medical programs Florida has ever seen. It’s also close to home which could help me financially. Here I’d be majoring in Biology as the program there is best of many. Although it isn’t my first choice, I’d be proud to be a gator.

University of South Florida
Average GPA - 3.97
Average SAT - 1300
Average ACT - 85
Acceptance Rate - 49.2%
The University of South Florida is my first option as it also has an extremely good medical program. It’s also affordable, amazing people and close to home. I’ve visited the campus before and it’s extremely beautiful. Here I’d be majoring in Chemistry. I’d truly be honored to be considered a bull.

Florida A&M University
Average GPA - 3.4
Average SAT - 1060
Average ACT - 73
Acceptance Rate - 33%
The Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University is my third pick as it’s medical program isn’t truly a big focus. However, it’s in Florida and have a ton of amazing people there. Here I’d be majoring in Biomedical Services or either nursing. Although the medical program isn’t the best it’s the largest black university in history.
My Personality
Myers Briggs Personality Test
The Myers’s Briggs personality test stated that I am a Mediator also known as a INFP (Introverted, Intuitive, Feeling, and Prospective). Mediator’s are said to be vibrant, passionate, creative, imaginative and sensitive. Which I can only half heartedly agree on. I do see myself as passionate but only in some areas, as well as my creativity and imagination. I find it to be very limited since I’m the type to get bored of one thing rather quick. Also I don’t quite see myself as a introvert however I do feel more like myself with people I’m comfortable with. The test states that I’m empathetic, generous, open-minded, creative, and idealistic. Also while being unrealistic, self-isolating, unfocused, emotionally vulnerable, desperate to please, and self critical. This is extremely true. While talking to me can leave you smiling and laughing forming a deeper connection or relationship will cause you to see that I can be draining and tiring. However I do believe that my pros outweigh my cons.
To many Mediators a job isn’t something to choose lightly. A career to a INFP isn’t about money but rather something that’s fulfilling, which I can definitely see in myself. Although money is an important thing to me it isn’t why I chose to become a Pediatrician. Not only am I becoming a Pediatrician but i also want to open up nonprofit Pediatric centers so children can get the help they need regardless of their status. As the results say, I want to do something I love which is helping others, especially children. However, the best jobs said for Mediators are things such as social working, psychologist, therapist, and becoming an Author which I could totally see. However, it’s not the career for me and that’s completely okay.
